Germantown 7/14 Miler - Saturday March 14 at 9

Results are HERE!

Special thanks to Jen and John for their help and those that submitted "select" times to help us put things back together again.

Mike Mee's Pics!

--------------------
One of the more difficult races in the series. Often wet and cool, the trail is fairly fast in the first 4 miles. Once passing the dam the UPs and DOWNs begin to nip at your heels.

Parking is at the Cottonwood, Morning-Glory and Goldfinch parking areas off of 6910 Boomershine Rd.

- 2008 had horrible flooding so an alternate course was divised.  About 60% of the course was rerouted.

Trail Scale: 8 out of 10
Best times I know of: 7m: 53:40, 14m: 1:39:41 (Non Flood Course)

Thanks Jerry and Tammy for a great race. I enjoyed running the second loop in the opposite direction.

Thanks Tammy & Jerry for hosting another great race this year. The course was wonderful and offered a different experience by turning the 14 milers around.
Since last year's detours gave us a lot of pavement, I was pleased to discover that I ran the course even faster this year.

Cheers,

Ken Seidl

I was getting burned out running the same marathons on paved streets each year. Ran the Frosty and now this. It was an awesome run! Thanks for all the hard work painting and putting ribbons on the stumps - never fell down today at all!
Thanks again to the folks who put this together. I paid $3.00 instead of the normal $80.00 to run a big city marathon and had more fun here...

The new course was great, I liked seeing the leaders as they started back. Thanks!

Great job. Really enjoyed running the course in reverse, though that last hill to the finish could use an escalator. Like Ken Seidl, I took a lot of time off the last couple of years, so maybe getting all the major hills in the middle helps.

I enjoyed being able to cheer on the 14 milers, and appreciated the encouragement they gave to those of us that were still on our way to finishing the 7 miler. Great race.

Jerry and Tammy, fantastic job! For all of the hard work the volunteers' put in, Thankyou! I look forward to volunteering for my first race soon.

I'm a newbie to the club (since November) and have come away very impressed every time and talk about bang for the buck! This was my first half or 14 (longest prior was 10k), what a absurdly great race to start my venture into longer distances.

And personally I don't care if they put us into oncoming traffic, because all the different variables
is what makes the races fun and challenging.

GREAT CLUB!

Hey Mudboy

I don't think many would have been fast enough to get out of the way of Josh. He was flying! Great job running, was amazed at how far ahead he was of the other leaders, let alone me when he passed on the way back.

Great Pictures Mike. Thanks a million. Great face shots.

I loved running the second loop in reverse.

From what I remember my Garmin and your official time are within a few seconds.

Noticed you were still trying to figure out results, but I don't have your email. I was not listed in the 14mile race results, but I was signed up for it. Finished around 2:04 and change? Jim Kromer 33

Great race! My second in the series. Good support and I appreciated the food/drink post race!! Keep up the good work.

I'm pretty sure that we have results all sorted out as of Tuesday morning. They seem to jive with the clock tape, the pink & blue sheets, and the few data points that some of you have shared. They will be posted soon.

Jeff,

I finished second in my age and came in right after my husband, Matt Kauflin. 1:18 and change.
